Nestled in a paradise of garrigue and pine forest, the vineyard stands at the foot of the Montagne Noire, the foothills of the Massif Central, on the famous terroir of Laure Minervois, a contender for the title of Languedoc “cru”. We find the land of choice for Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. These three grape varieties find the altitude necessary for their perfect development. The wines of the Tour de Rieux seal the magic alliance of the burning sun and the cool soils where the vine draws its reserves in depth to offer wines all in elegance. The neighborhoodof Montagne Noire (Black Mountain) protects the vineyard from the strong local wind called Cers: the best conditions to express freshness in the wine. 2019 : James Suckling 89
